A new Ipsos poll conducted on behalf of Kellogg's Special K of women in ten major Canadian cities has found that City of Toronto women are the most satisfied.

On February 24, 2009 Toronto Mayor David Miller donated a 100-year supply of Special K Satisfaction cereal to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Donated by Kellogg, the donation was made as a result of a recent Ipsos Reid survey –commissioned by Kellogg’s Special K Satisfaction – that found Toronto women reporting the highest levels of satisfaction out of ten Canadian cities.

Female Torontonians ranked highest in four of the seven categories including love life, body image and health. They also led the ranks in their overall level of self-satisfaction giving Toronto, and especially Mr. Miller, something to brag about.

“I want to thank Kellogg Canada for their generous donation,” said Mayor Miller. “The results of this survey confirm what Torontonians already know about their city – that this is a great and liveable city where all can find opportunity and prosper and where no one is left behind.”

Other cities ranking high on the satisfaction level included Vancouver and Quebec City whose women ranked the second and third highest in Canada. The highest levels of personal relationship and work satisfaction went to Vancouverites while Quebec femmes were most happy with their city.

Christine Lowry, vice-president, nutrition and corporate affairs at Kellogg Canada Inc. says, “We have come a long way over the years but body image is still something that weighs on the minds of Canadian women.” She goes on to state that, “Looking at the poll results, body image was the area where the fewest satisfied votes were received across all cities polled. At Special K we want to help women look and feel their best by offering them foods, like Special K Satisfaction, that can help them with their weight management goals.”

Kellogg works to educate women on healthy food and lifestyle choices in order to better prepare them for their day to day weight-management and health goals. Its new Special K Satisfaction has been designed to help consumers resist temptation and avoid mid-day sugar binges and vending machine urges. The high protein, high fibre recipe curbs hunger to get you through the day without your stomach growling.
