There are hundreds of sensuality books on the market, many covering the same topic. From article and book research on women's health we have put together our top 10 guide of the books that will increase your knowledge and enjoyment. 1. The Orgasm Diet: A Revolutionary Plan to Lift Your Libido and Bring You to Orgasm by Marrena Lindberg. Three Rivers Press, 2008. A diet for orgasm that includes dark chocolate, fish oils and red wine. Friends who have tested this book have reported positive results. It is not a quick fix but combined with regular PC exercises, will deliver the goods. 2. The Multi-Orgasmic Couple: Secrets Every Couple Should Know by Mantak Chia. HarperOne, 2002. Chia was a student of Taoist masters and founded the Healing Tao System in 1979. An inspirational book full of practical exercises. He explains how to conserve sensual energy and the Taoist philosophy is very much geared towards female pleasure (the nine levels of orgasm…) 3. Tristan Taormino's Ultimate Guides, Cleis Press. In-depth, authoritative and frank guides written by a respected author. 4. The Complete Kama Sutra: The First Unabridged Modern Translation of the Classic Indian Text by Mallanga Vatsyayana, Inner Traditions Bear & Co, 2003. The first translation to illustrate all 64 intercourse positions in the Kama Sutra. This is also a manual about the art of living. 5. She Comes First: The Thinking Man’s Guide to Pleasuring A Woman by Ian Kerner, Souvenir Press, 2005. A detailed guide explaining how to give a woman oral pleasure. Explores foreplay techniques, positions, toys and erotic photography. Great for the coffee table. 8. The New Joy of ... by Susan Quilliam. Mitchell Beazley, 2008. Relationship psychologist Susan Quilliam has updated the 1972 bestseller. No more beards and over 40 new entries bring it up-to-date. 9. Female .......... and the G-spot by Deborah Sundahl. Hunter House, 2003. Sundahl has transformed our perception of this topic. She explains what the g-spot is, how to find it and gives a history of female sensuality. A fascinating and important read. 10. Toys 101: A Playfully Uninhibited Guide by Rachel Venning and Claire Cavanah, Fireside, 2003. This is a glossy, illustrated guide to toys from the founders of Babeland. Colourful, informative and fun to read. If you are unsure about what toys and products to buy, read this first. Second-hand bookshops and markets will have classic editions of erotica so are worth browsing if you want to build a good collection from writers in each decade. Magazines such as Scarlet publish monthly book reviews and extracts of books that are attracting attention.
